How much garbage do you need to know? Windows 7 64-Bit is my OS, of which not much else existed then. On what browser am I supposed to do these steps? How much detail do you need as to how the browser behaves? I already said that its windows do not stay open for me to do any of what you posted. Don't you know what Firefox does? I did not take screenshots of those first two pages where it said that it crashed. Maybe there was a reply box each time; but I am so angry about this that I do not even remember if I submitted anything.

Finally I got this browser open in Safe Mode. The version number, which you all should have known already, is 90.0.1 64-Bit. When I tried to open the full version, an error message popped up before the window crashed. I took a screenshot which said, "Firefox closed unexpectedly while starting. This may be caused by add-ons or other problems. You can try to resolve by troubleshooting in Safe Mode." Incidentally, this community is hard to locate even after starting a thread. I do not want to page through articles first. Your instructions are so confusing that I accidentally submitted an unsubmitted crash report. I think I have the latest submitted one:

You must mean that BP- business. The submitted reports all have BP-. I just noticed that you asked for the most recent one that did not have BP-. They all have that, unless we went to the unsubmitted ones. Now, unexpectedly, this window opened in Firefox. Could it still be in Safe Mode from yesterday? I just clicked on the icon without holding Shift and Tab.

I do not know which of these reports you want since I accidentally submitted a previously unsubmitted one. Yesterday there was another update. I do not know if Mozilla fixed the initial problem. In fact, I am not sure I am out of Safe Mode. So, I am guessing that you wanted seven-to-ten reports, not the most recent one. Too much at once, especially with other stuff going on.

Further to the diagnosis above, I strongly recommend that you fully update your copy of Sophos.

I disabled Sophos. Today, however, the system crashed to where I had to powercycle this computer - unplug the AC adapter, remove the battery, hit the power button for 30 seconds and then reassemble. Before the crash I had Firefox windows open, mostly to New York State government sites. This is what I expect in the browser I removed, Chrome. For this problem I am willing to start a new thread if you don't think it is related to this one. Thanks, so far.

I sort of concluded this problem by concluding that there is no solution. Yesterday I isolated the problem. Despite removing Chrome the problem is still Google - its services, apps or whatever you want to call whatever it provides that we all believe we are obligated to use. It does not matter which browser it is. SeaMonkey crashes frequently; but only itself, not the entire OS. When my OS crashes, Windows 7, it is usually during some Google use, even something as simple as signing in or logging out, regardless of which browser I am using. I cannot even select products on retail sites without inviting the danger of a system crash.

Run most or all of the listed free to use malware scanners. Each works differently. If one program misses something, another may pick it up.

In due time, hopefully it will not crash while running these. This is Windows 7; and never will I purchase Windows 10, 11, 12 and so on. Currently on this I have Spyware Blaster, which does not enable all protection for my browsers. Then, I have Sophos, which for continuous running is now disabled, McAfee Stinger and Emisoft Emergency Kit Scanner. Its been ten days since visiting this post. The three programs I just named ran clean. I just downloaded and installed the newest Malwarebytes. After installing and running it, with nothing else open, i left it running and later found the computer shut down. i do not know if the program is set to do that or if it is due to my Windows 7 damage.

During the night Malwarebytes did an automatic scan and found 34 items which went into quarantine. It is coming off my computer and I will have to remove SuperAntispyware as well. My version does not even update; so I will have to seek a newer version.

I am now using my Mac to post this. The most recent SuperAntispyware is running on my Windows 7 for the second time. It did the same thing as Malwarebytes - shut down the system. I hope I can get to the end of this run without it crashing the system. This one doesn't give the option of running a scheduled scan without having to buy a Premium version.

With SuperAntispyware I looked where the malware was after it ran five hours. I stopped the run and took off 114 items. Then I designated where I wanted it to scan. After it ran there was a 115th that previously would not come off. This time it did. I do not know what more I can do. Remembering how things were here a year ago, yesterday it occurred to me that the high heat index we are undergoing may contribute to these shut downs, occurring most this time of year than any other.
