hello, can you try to replicate this behaviour when you launch firefox in safe mode once? if not, maybe an addon that's changing your useragent information is interfering here...

Using the latest firefox 84 version.
What is wrong here?
Hi mr.deenoo
You can check the user agent via the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page.
You can check out at the browserspy website how websites see you:
What is seen in troubleshooting. The issue is not whatsapp only it happens with other websites which somehow detects wrong the version of the firefox.

Hello,
Thank you for looking into this issue. Attached are the screenshots from the debug pages.
I think some information are detected wrong, for instant it's a Windows 10 Enterprise laptop with Rysen CPU and the browsers detects it as Linux ?

Managed to temporary solve the issue by deleting the information from "general.useragent.override" (screenshot attached).
But if I close the browser and re-open it - it will be put back again. Why is that?
What is wrong here?

Guys any solution for a permanent fix?
What app is keep overrinding those firefox version values?
Guys is anyone here to help?
What causes the overide agent?
I tried to create a user.js file and put it in C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\mydefaprofile.default
the user.js file has this in it
// eliminate the override shit user_pref("general.useragent.override", "");
But it doesn't seem to work. Have I put it correctly?
Any solution?
I located the prefs.js file and noticed this info in there user_pref("general.useragent.override", "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:61.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/61.0 ql66u54b");
I've deleted the override part but everytime I started the browser is being put back there again the same stupid info.
What causes this override issue???
hi, it's most likely one of your installed extensions that is tampering with your useragent information... Troubleshoot issues related to add-ons
Note that you shouldn't set general.useragent.override to an empty string via user.js as that will disable the user agent (the user agent will be an empty string causing issues).
- user_pref("general.useragent.override", "");

It's not any extension's fault< I've already tried many times, fresh install and without any extension, tried safe mode, the same problem. Look at the other users, others have the same problem.

I've already tried without empty string, put a higher version there user_pref("general.useragent.override", "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:61.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/84.0");
But the problem is the same, something keep overrides that version with an older one Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:61.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/61.0 ql66u54b
I can't believe no one know what can cause that override, really, how come no one knows how to debug and fix this? I've provided many information here.
Do you currently see general.useragent.override with a value that contains 'ql66u54b' on the about:config page ?
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration or userChrome.css is causing the problem.
- switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Themes
- do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window
- https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode
- https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-extensions-themes-to-fix-problems
Do a clean reinstall of the current Firefox release and delete the Firefox program folder before installing a fresh copy of the current Firefox release.
- download the Firefox installer and save the file to the desktop
*https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/#product-desktop-release
If possible uninstall your current Firefox version to cleanup the Windows Registry and settings in security software.
- do NOT remove "personal data" when you uninstall the current Firefox version, because this will remove all profile folders and you lose personal data like bookmarks and passwords including personal data in profiles created by other Firefox versions
Remove the Firefox program folder before installing that newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.
- (64-bit Firefox) "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\"
- (32-bit Firefox) "C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\"
- it is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling
Your personal data like bookmarks is stored in the Firefox profile folder, so you won't lose personal data when you reinstall or update Firefox, but make sure NOT to remove personal data when you uninstall Firefox as that will remove all Firefox profile folders and you lose your personal data.
If you keep having problems then you can create a new profile as a quick test to see if your current profile is causing the problem.
