Can you please add back the widgets or create an easy way to install Firefox 57? Even though I have the Firefox 57 apk I am not permited to install.

Absolutely outrageous, I used the widget to quickly access Firefox from the homescreen on my Samsung Note 4, after update there was a grey box saying "app not found". So i delete the widget and try and add it again and no option at all. FFS, look online, and its a NEW FEATURE - No widgets! Wow are the programmers just too lazy to maintain functionality that I'm sure hundreds of thousands of people used daily? Who's bright idea was this? I bet the person who made the ultimate decision uses an iPhone. If iPhones dont need a widget then why Androids? Right?

So I should have to option to uninstall Firefox 58, and then install Firefox 57 from a downloaded apk right? Nope, need root access to remove some setting that only allows a more recent signed version of Firefox to install. Such BS. How about check your metrics of how many people uninstalling Firefox since updated to 58. You'll see a bunch of us.

Hi

The widget was removed after it was found that it introduced instabilities into Firefox for Android and hampered future development.

Whilst there are no plans (that I am aware of) to reintroduce it soon, you can now more easily apply shortcuts to the Android home screen that mimics some of the widget functionality.
