When will the LastPass v4.0+ Add-On be approved for listing in the Add-Ons store?
LastPass has released version 4.0.0 or better of their plugin for Chrome, Safari and even Firefox on their website, (see: https://lastpass.com/misc_download2.php). However when searching for this plugin via the Add-Ons Store, (see: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/lastpass-password-manager/) the version there is outdated.
LastPass support says this is because of their rapid release cycle & submission to Mozilla combined with Mozilla's delay in vetting each add-on to be signed and included in the store. See their support page here: https://lastpass.com/support.php?cmd=showfaq&id=6036&questiondefault=firefox
LastPass version 4 has security enhancements as well as other new features. Firefox signed plugin verification is also a very important security feature that I would like to leave enabled. When will the current LastPass plugin finally graduate from Mozilla's security audit and be updated in the official channel?

James, I am happy with this workaround and thank you for providing it. I did not know this was an option, so for me, this works.
However, the average user is not likely to search out & install the plugin from a developer channel. The recent reviews posted on the plugin's page show obvious frustration with the plugin not being updated here, and this is even marked as a featured plugin. It certainly does not feel like it.
What is the real likelihood that the official general public release of the featured LastPass plugin will be updated to a more current version? If not the most current version.

v4.1.0-2 - Feb 11th 2016 may be the same as the Version 4.1.2a Released February 11, 2016 on A.M.O unless they got the version number mixed up
