Running Windows 10, latest update/build. When browsing websites that have advertising and such, I have to hit the 'back' button multiple times in order to go back to where I started. One forum that exhibits this behavior is http://smith-wessonforum.com. Prior to recent Firefox/Windows updates, this was working just fine. Not sure if it is a Microsoft Windows update issue or a Firefox update issue. Running Firefox 43.0.4. Thanks in advance...............

You can hold down the left mouse on the B/F button (or right-click the button) to open the drop-down list and select an older entry.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox menu button/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox menu button/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window

Already tried that. And, I have no extensions on this machine, it is a new laptop. This was working fine before updates were applied.
