google search results used to have the news/images/maps listings on the left of the results page. now they are on the top of the results page. this is not the case in chrome, so I think something changed, but I cannot figure it out. I know my 8 year old was playing with google.org or some such to show his name instead of google, but I have not found what he may have done. I re-set the defaults, no joy. nothing in the plug-ins...... is it OK to also ask if there is a way to remove the google services bar ? all these tool bars take full lines. only the microsoft START line is compact with multiple results on one bar.
