When I go to bookmark a page, it used to be the top choice which allowed quick selection. Since FF recently upgraded the top position on "menu" is now "show all bookmarks" When in a hurry - and I am a busy person, I often hit the top option, the wrong thing occurs I have to then undo that action, go back and find the one I want. I just want to order menu items the way I choose.

Want bookmarking a page as the first choice in the Bookmarks menu"

I don't know of any extension to do that, but everything that is not a bookmark has a keyboard shortcut or a toolbar icon if from an extension.

Ctrl+D Bookmark this page
Ctrl+Shift+B Show all bookmarks (was Organize Bookmarks (was Manage Bookmarks))

You can also bookmark a page via the right-click context menu on that page.

You can move that item to the bottom of the Bookmarks Menu.

I appreciate the efforts, but none answer the question asked. I presume FF made the decision for us and that is that. Its up to us to work around them, good thing its free.

But we did try to answer the question with what is available to you. You may not like the answer you get, but isn't that what you really expected anyway.

Maybe Cor-el will find what he was looking for. But now I recall, I did once change the bookmarks menu because of this bug, which was nasty, and I would want to avoid any possible re-occurrence.

There are a great many methods of bookmarking something:
