something happened overnight. was previous working and scan shows everything is ok

Trouble recovering windows & Tabs. Does not help starting new session or restoring windows page listed.

You may have a problem with the file pluginreg.dat that stores the plugin registry. Delete the file pluginreg.dat and let Firefox rebuild a new version.
