Does Firefox natively run from /usr/lib/firefox/firefox on Ubuntu 16.04? Also, does it use DYLD injection?

I have Cylance PROTECT installed on an Ubuntu 16.04 and it is blocking Firefox because it thinks it is an exploit attempt. It gets marked as DYLD injection. Is this proper Firefox behavior on Ubuntu 16.04? I want to make sure this is normal for Firefox before I create an exemption in Cylance.

It depends on how you install firefox. You could just download the pre-built binaries from mozilla directly if you wish. Since this is Ubuntu, I take it you used apt to install firefox? (via $ sudo apt firefox or similar?) It's worth keeping in mind that just because something detects something as an injection doesn't mean that it is. As far as I know, firefox doesn't use any form of injection.
