I have 2 sites that I have always accessed, one being Wix.com for signin to my web page. It is now blocked and the Advanced key does not offer any solutions.

How do I override this? and where within the browser. There has to be a place to list these sites as safe sites.
  Thanks, Don

Have you reviewed the How to troubleshoot security error codes on secure websites or What do the security warning codes mean? documentation to see if it helps with the issue?

Generally, you shouldn't have to bypass warnings if the website is configured properly. Naturally, Wix is a secure website, so this suggests that something isn't right in the browser settings.

The standard Wix site url produces a blank white page with nothing showing.

I am using the antivirus furnished in Windows 10 so the solutions in the Troubleshooting article above are not much help.

Hmm, blank page but you have an Advanced button??

Is the problem only with that long URL you posted, or also here:

https://www.wix.com/

If you have an Advanced button, please click that then copy/paste the more technical error description into a reply.

I have compared my options settings for Firefox on my laptop (which works) to my desktop ( which is where I have the problem) and set all the same.

I took 3 screen shots of the sites I am having problems loading:
    Wix.com
    Wix.com login
GerlachNaturePhoto.com where I maintain that site on Wix, only the shopping cart icon shows
By the way, I opened these in MS Edge and no problems.
 I appreciate your efforts.

Unfortunately that is a sign in page so unless another Wix user can sign in to see if they get the same problem you might have to contact Wix support.

Hi dweltzien, Wix sites use various different servers, including wix.com and parastorage.com. To see which servers Firefox accesses and which it does not, try using the Network Monitor tool.

First open https://www.gerlachnaturephoto.com/

The open the Network Monitor in the lower part of the tab, using either:

  • "3-bar" menu button > Web Developer > Network
  • (menu bar) Tools > Web Developer > Network
  • (Windows) Ctrl+Shift+e

When you reload the page, Firefox should start listing all the files it is requesting, along with information about whether the request was successful. The status code in the left column is relevant to complete requests, and there may be a lock icon indicating problems making a secure connection to some servers.

Where do you see problems?

I am attaching a sample screenshot. This article has more information on this tool: https://developer.mozilla.org/docs/Tools/Network_Monitor

This is way over my head. How can everything work 2 day and the next day the browser singles out 2 web sites that I need to access frequently?

I may just have to abandon Firefox.

If your other browsers work well with the site, then you may prefer to use those for now. However, as a web developer, I think you'll find the Network Monitor interesting. It helps you see where delays are in the loading of a page, how much bandwidth is used, and various other things.

Hi:

Thanks for you help. I uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled a fresh install. Everything is working now. Something happened with the old install that just didn't want to be fixed.
 Everything works now.
