Lightning has always been an add on. It is still an add on, but supposedly included with the Thunderbird download. If you had the correct version of Lightning installed for the version of Thunderbird you are running all your calendar data would populate the calendar. For Thunderbird 52.8 you should have Lightning 5.4.8 installed. If you have something different remove and reinstall Lightning.

Hello, Thanks a lot for your quick response. lightning 5.4.8 was installed already. I removed it and re-installed it again. All without any result. I did a search for *.ics files at the complete C drive with no result at all. Ar there any other option that i can try? Kind regards Fred

Maybe you had been using Sunbird.

Thunderbird doesn't ordinarily use ics files. It can import from them and export to them, but they are not its native storage mode. Much as Thunderbird can import and export eml files, but doesn't use them internally.

My Lightning data are stored inside the profile in a subfolder named calendar-data, wherein there are various sqlite files.

When I open the local.sqlite file with notepad it looks like that the calander data is still there, but it is not in visisble in lightning despite the date is of yesterday. My question is how can get that data available for lightning. I have been looking in the menus but cann't find the solution there. I hope you can help me. see the attachment too. Kind regards Fred

You are not getting any closer. But opening sqlite files in notepad is a good way to corrupt the data unless you are very careful.

Do you have lightning installed in the add-on manager? The add-on is downloaded and installed with the application, but it is not "integrated" however when you start trying to add the one from the add-on site all sorts of things can go wrong. Please add the troubleshooting information to your post, that the relevant add-ons and variables can be checked.

To find the Troubleshooting information:

• Open Help (or click on three-line-icon and select Help)
• Choose Troubleshooting Information
• Use the button Copy to clipboard to select all. Do not check box "Include account names"!
• Paste this in your post.
