How do I complete the process needed to download files to my SD card using Firefox?

I followed the procedures here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1012963 "How can I change the default save location to SD?" and everything seemed to go smoothly.

However, now when I try to download a file, Firefox says:

Download Error

"/storage/external_SD/[folder name]/[filename] could not be saved, because you cannot change the contents of that folder.

Change the folder properties and try again, or try saving in a different location."

Hi Name1234

Some questions to help us help you:

  1. What version of Android OS are you using (Kitkat 4.4, Jellybean 4.1-3, Lollipop 5) and what model of phone or tablet? Is your phone or tablet rooted?
  2. The procedure at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1012963 may only work for those with rooted phones or tablets but I don't recommend it. It's error prone and not supported by Mozilla. Instead I recommend using the built-in Android file manager to move the downloaded files to the SD card.
  3. If the above doesn't help, please let us know what you did exactly, what happened and what you expected

Cheers!
