Since upgrading to Firefox 32.0.3, I'm having significant problems with page load times, especially when opening multiple tabs (i.e. several minutes).
I'm attempting to load multiple tabs with Firefox 32.0.3 and am having massive "hang time" issues in terms of the pages loading. It can take multiple minutes for 20-25 tabs to open fully and I'm baffled as to why my loading times have suddenly become so slow.
I'm using a Windows 8 PC with an Intel 7 series processor and 8 GB of ram, so system space isn't an issue; my main extensions for Firefox are TabMix Plus, AdBlock, Flashblock, NoScript, Cookie Controller and DownThemAll. I'm all of several feet from my home router so my connection speed is very good as well.
I'm just seeking options to improve load times that don't involve resetting everything I have set up for work extension-wise. I can handle waiting a minute for pages to load, but 2 or 3 minutes seems...a little much.

hello, often such issues are caused by a firewall/security software which doesn't recognize & therefore blocks new firefox versions. please remove all program rules for firefox from your firewall and let it detect the new version of the browser again.
That definitely helped but it didn't solve the problem...I'm still experiencing lag in loading websites even after swapping out and "rediscovering" the program for McAfee firewall.
Boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that helps.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.
- Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
- Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problem.
See "Creating a profile":
- http://kb.mozillazine.org/Standard_diagnostic_-_Firefox#Profile_issues
If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a previously used profile to the new profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over problems.
