Why can't the next tab open itself when I select the next link?
I use several browsers, not just Firefox. One of them automatically opens a new tab when I click on the next site I wish to transfer to, i.e. I don't have to click to open a new tab first. Note, it also keeps the current tab open.
I like this feature and want it in Firefox, at least as an option.

In Firefox you can middle-click a link with the mouse scroll wheel to open the link in a new tab. Only links that specify a target window open in a new tab. All others open in the same tab. If this is about clicking links on the Google results page then you can change this in the Google Search Settings (where searches open) (gear icon in the top right corner).

Where is the link for the next site you wish to visit? Is it somewhere on the current page you're already on?
Try Tools > Options > Tabs > "When I open a link in a new tab, switch to it immediately".

This works, thanks. Is it documented anywhere in the Tools or elsewhwre?
