Everytime I change screens or go into another site I get following message: You have requested an encrypted page that contains unencrypted info. Info that you see or enter can be easily viewed by a third party. Why does this message appear? Avast has not made me aware of any security issues. Says my computer is safe.

Upgrade your browser to Firefox 8 and check

I sense you have some third party add-ons installed.

Please try creating a different new firefox profile https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Managing-profiles

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
