Only some webpages are not loading properly, they appear very basic. Lots of white space, all in Times New Roman, links in blue but nothing really loads. Facebook and Ebay are like this.

I had pulled my battery out (one for the cmos on motherboard). It had placed my date back to 1999. After resetting to todays date it took care of my problem.
I'm truly disappointed with this 'glitch'. I stopped using Firefox about a year ago because I simply couldn't troubleshoot my way out of this fundamental problem.
It has nothing to do with the DNS or anything else suggested here. I swapped to Google Chrome as my default browser and, although it's fabulous, there are certain basic Firefox features & pluggins I love (for example, although I use Firefox Sync & Xmarks) I still use good old Mozbackup for Firefox & Thunderbird.
Being a web designer, I have the most popular browsers installed -- IE, Opera, Safari & Chrome -- in order to check how my sites look in various browsers. Facebook opens up in every one of them like a charm so this is a FIREFOX glitch EXCLUSIVELY!
See the images attached.
There is nothing wrong with my computer's date.
Iryna, I might consider switching to Chrome. I switched from IE to FireFox in 2005/6 to deal with an increase in website advertising. Maybe it's time to switch again.

Is a new "feature" of Firefox 12 - simply doesn't load the CSS for MANY website anymore - even simply styled sites like PayPal
I managed to track down a copy of Firefox 11 installer earlier - installed it over FF12 and have now got rid of all the bugs of Firefox 12 such as not loading CSS and marking every security certificate issuer as "untrusted" - worth the effort
