I get a message that Firefox has been installed, but I can't find it. Shouldn't I see a new app icon? Maybe I just don't know how to get started. The model number is officially this: Model# SM-F711UZGAVZW

Hi

What version of Android is currently installed on your device?

Is Firefox for Android in the app drawer with all your other apps, or is there a shortcut on a second pane of the Android homescreen?

I have Android Version 12. A page full of information, like Android security patch level May 1, 2022; UI version 4.1; I show icons for 32 apps, most of which I understand, but nothing says Firefox.

If you open the Android Settings app, under Applications, is Firefox listed?

I show icons for 32 apps, none of which says Android. If I open the Settings App and do a search for "Android", it shows me "Android version," "Android security patch level," "SE for android status," "Android System Intelligence," "Android personalization service," and "Android Auto." I can't find anything labeled "Android Settings." I've checked each of these by touching them, and nothing shows anything about settings.

I must be missing something about the setup of this machine. Maybe I'll try downloading Firefox one more time. Thanks for trying: I've been using computers of one sort or another for 50+ years and there have always been problems, and this is just one more problem.

If you search that list again for "Firefox", is it listed?
