I removed FF on one laptop due to chronic playlist problems but this one still has it. Thx to Cor-El for trying to assist me with the other machine.

All of a sudden I am inundated with "Enable DRM" nags on this machine. You can't block them. And the nags are on every page I load now. There has to be a way to get rid of that junk...

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration or userChrome.css is causing the problem.

  • switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Themes
  • do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window

I'll try that, Cor-El. You should have seen the eye-roll when it started nagging me on almost every screen ! This machine I would prefer to keep FF on. YT Playlists are not an issue on this machine... that's all the other machine...

Not even close. Just as bad as before. Every new release -- new dramas...

Ever enabled DRM and watched the effects on a Fluke network analyzer console when watching DRM content or even letting the video remain static ?

That's why I reject DRM addons, plugins, whatever. The bursts of outgoing packet traffic are sucking up huge amounts of information from your PC. Any guesses as to who is doing all that ?

All freaking day and all freaking night -- Enable DRM. Enable DRM. Enable DRM. Enable DRM. Enable DRM. Enable DRM. Enable DRM. Enable DRM. Enable DRM. Enable DRM. Enable DRM. Enable DRM. Enable DRM. Enable DRM. Enable DRM. Enable DRM. Enable DRM. Enable DRM. Enable DRM. Enable DRM. Enable DRM. Enable DRM. Enable DRM. Enable DRM. Enable DRM. Enable DRM. Enable DRM. Enable DRM. Enable DRM. Enable DRM. Enable DRM. Enable DRM. Enable DRM. Enable DRM. Enable DRM. Enable DRM. Enable DRM. Enable DRM. Enable DRM. Enable DRM.

Alright -- so you don't have the answer. Fine !

Where do you see this message ?

Is that on a web page or does Firefox shows the DRM doorhanger popping down from the location bar ?

Can you attach a screenshot?

New chronic nag: Upgrade Firefox ? (Not now -- I don't want new problems or Nags). Upgrade Firefox ? (Not now -- I don't want new problems or Nags). Upgrade Firefox ? (Not now -- I don't want new problems or Nags). Upgrade Firefox ? (Not now -- I don't want new problems or Nags).

Mark all my beefs as Solved. I am so sick of you incompetent people.

No more responses from me.
