youtube video volume lowers when skipping ahead

after one of the recent updates, I don't know which one, when I load a youtube video (on a page or on youtube) and start the video the volume is fine. But if I skip ahead the volume lowers 80% or so. Not the slider, just the output volume. in order to restore the volume I have to close firefox and restart. It does not happen in Microsoft Edge.

I've disabled add-ons. I've just deleted the youtube cookie. I've reinstalled firefox.

problem still persists. Suggestions?

It is our bug.

I think that you can just move the volume slider back and forth to bring back the proper volume.

the slider stays in the same position, the volume itself just lowers. the slider is typically at 80% or so and when the volume drops the slider is still at 80%.

Is there fix? Or is this a feature/bug until it's figured out?

There's no fix ATM in the release version, but for me Nightly is OK.

I'm a regular user, I'll wait for the fix since it's now a known issue. Any idea when the next release/fix will be? thanks...

I tested a YT video and just slide ahead frame and have no volume drops or stutter. So I doubt it's a firefox issue as nothing is happening like that on my side.

except it doesn't happen in Edge, just firefox. so there's that... and it only started happening after a recent update to firefox.

@callingdoug what those other browser do is what they do. I use chrome and have no such problem with that either.
