problems after latest software update

since being prompted to upgrade to the latest version (November 2017) ,my google calendar tab and unified view have stopped working. Any suggestions on how to fix? I have tried reinstsalling the google calendar tab add on. the icon appears but will not go to google calendar. the unified view shows blank placeholders where the messages should be. as you scroll down the messages briefly show then disappear.
