I'm logged into FB and type a comment. But when I go back or refresh the page, my comment didn't actually post. Neither can I see my messages. I can't even LOG OUT. It's like I'm there, but I'm invisible and totally powerless - like I'm not me but somebody else who has no control of the content or settings. Very frustrating and extremely worrisome. I tried accessing FB from my iPad, and it worked like usual, so the problem MUST be Firefox. I love Firefox and don't want to give it up, so please help me.

My computer is a MacBook Pro with the most recent OS.

Thanks!

Personally, I have had this issue occur a few times, but it doesn't appear to be a Firefox issue. I believe that it is an issue with the Facebook servers. Nevertheless, we can certainly try some troubleshooting to determine if it is a Firefox issue.

Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache. Note: This will temporarily log you out of all sites you're logged in to. To clear cache and cookies do the following:

  1. Click the menu button New Fx Menu, choose History, and then "Clear Recent History...".
  2. Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
  3. Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
  4. From the details list, check Cache and Cookies and uncheck everything else.
  5. Now click the "Clear Now" button.

Further information can be found in the Delete browsing, search and download history on Firefox article.
