Removed old version of Java 8 (update 40) and installed latest Java 8 (Update 60). Installed BOTH 32 and 64 bit versions and restarted the Nightly. Double checked settings in the Java Control Panel, which are as they should be according to Oracle. In fact Jave does not even appear under plug-ins, as it should.

The only plugin that Win 64-bit versions of Firefox support is Adobe Flash Player. If you need Java, you'll have to use the 32-bit version of Firefox.

And when will it run Java or other plugins beside Adobe Flash Player? Or is there some reason for excluding their use even when 64 bit plugin versions exist?
