Is there a reason other than 'silent installation' for blocking Adv Sys Care Surfing Protection?
I received this msg: Advanced SystemCare Surfing Protection has been blocked for your protection. Why was it blocked? This add-on is silently installed into users' systems, in violation of the Add-on Guidelines.
OK, but is there any other reason for which it was blocked? I knew 'ASC Surfing Protection' was installed and I like the idea that it keeps me away from suspect sites, and I haven't yet noticed any problems.

There are some testimonies if you search for them. However why it was blocked by add ons: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/fire.../i740
Dear guigs2,
Thanks for your reply, unfortunately it doesn't answer my question, maybe I should be clearer. I read https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/fire.../i740, this is what it said: Why was it blocked? This add-on is silently installed into users' systems, in violation of the Add-on Guidelines. I understand that 'ASC Surfing Protection' may have been silently installed in violation of the Add-on Guidelines. However in this case I am not bothered by the silent install. My question is: was there any other reason to block it? I.e. will it undermine the security of my system? I'm OK with it if all it did was break a rule. I read the other testimonies, but I don't seem to have problems like theirs.
These Blocklist pages usually have a related bugzilla report link on bottom to give further information on the why the certain Extension or Plugin was added to the blocklist.
It looks like it can install a toolbar and a couple other extensions also along with change of search engine.

Note that Bugzilla is not a discussion forum like here so please no Why or the like comments like one would post here as it would basically be email/bug spam. https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/page.cgi?id=etiquette.html
