Why has Firefox turned into a such a POS?
For more than a year now Firefox has been the bane of my existence. I cannot go through a single day without it crashing at least ten times. Some days it crashes so much I cannot complete my work. I have tried everything from uninstalling and re-installing with a totally new profile. I have sent in crash reports which NEVER elicit a response. I have even gone so far as to format the entire goddamn machine and reinstalling everything from the OS on up. NOTHING! Crash, crash, crash all effin day.
What use is sending the crash info if you NEVER BOTHER TO TELL US THE RESULT???
I am an IT professional; I have installed Firefox on EVERY client machine I work with. Thanks for making me look like an ass.
Chrome opens a whole new process every time you make a new tab. That slows down the computer to a crawl. IE is a piece of shit and has been for far longer than Firefox has. What are my choices?
Why is there NO BROWSER that can deliver the internet to me anymore?

More information and further troubleshooting steps can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox crashes (closing or quitting unexpectedly) article.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
- Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.
See "Creating a profile":

If the new profile works then you can transfer some files from an existing profile to the new profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over the problem.
