Trying to view & check Add-ons using Add-ons Manger as follows: Tools - Add-ons which results in new tab opening, but all that is displayed is the Loading Icon with the timer animation. I have now left it running for over 45 minutes prior to writing this information. The problem was also evident after the upgrade from Version 4 to Version 5 earlier this year.

I had this problem a few hours ago. It acts like the Add-ons Manager is "stuck" trying to load all the Extensions and Plug-ins.

Try this "fix". (It worked for me.) Restart Firefox in Safe Mode (Go to Help --> Restart with Add-ons Disabled...) In Safe Mode call up Add-ons Manager again. It should load. Check that you can see the lists of Extensions and Plug-ins. Have Add-ons Manager check for updates. Restart Firefox to switch back to "normal" mode. Start Add-ons Manager. It should load normally.

Thank you, works fine now. Java plug-in required updates
