Every time I turn my Laptop on and visit web sites I have to reset my cookie preferences to deny - I have other add-on's such as Privacy Badger, Adblocker, Ghostery, AdBlock Plus. Do I 'need' all of these? I'm a bit paranoid about security but also a tech moron....

How do I set to block all unwanted cookies and KEEP it set?

Many thanks!!

Hi, are you using Firefox's settings to block cookies, or a little panel displayed by the website asking if you want to accept cookies?

If it's a panel displayed by the site, ironically, your decision is saved in a cookie. If you have Firefox set to flush cookies when it closes, then the sites won't know your preference during your next session and will ask again. It's a bit of a conundrum how best to handle that...

Hello ~ Had to put my non-tech thinking cap on but yes, that must be whats happening. A panel pops up on the website so I click 'reject all but essential'. There's a tick in the 'Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed' box so I'm just going to keep going round in circles?! Is there no fix? Thanks!!

You can create an exception so Firefox doesn't remove the cookie for the site you don't want to set cookies. This is the conundrum of clearing cookies!
