Still getting Newsletter Emails after unsubscribing

I have unsubscribed from all newsletter after receiving the first email but days later I'm still getting emails from Firefox (e.g. Superpower #4: See if your info has been leaked).

This is an incredibly bad user experience and to my knowledge illegal in the EU.

I'm probably still within that journey but the journey should terminate the moment I clicked unsubscribed.

There is no way to unsubscribe from these Superpower emails.

However, after Superpower #5, those emails stop. I received these when I made my Firefox account and was also unable to unsubscribe from them even though each email gave the option to. After the fifth, I haven't gotten any emails based on my communication preferences.

Mozilla really needs to change this, Maybe condense all 5 emails into a single message included in the setup email, or actually opt people out when they opt out (crazy idea, I know). It is very annoying and deceptive to give the option to unsubscribe to then have more emails follow. Whoever came up with the idea and execution did not think it through.

Glad to hear you were going through the same Chris.

Makes me optimistic it will stop soon.

What a great introduction to Firefox. Makes me regret my decision instantly ;)

This is with Firefox` Account? https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/manage-newsletter-and-email-preferences

Hello

I am receiving Superpower emails even tho I have unsubscribed from every email in my account. The footer of the email even says:

"You're receiving this email because ****** has a Firefox account and is subscribed to Firefox Account Tips."

I am definitely unsubscribed from Firefox Account Tips. I've unsubscribed twice, once by unchecking "Firefox Account Tips" and, when I received the second mail, by checking "Remove me from all the subscriptions on this page". Yet I have received a total of 4 of these emails so far.

This is, as far as I can tell, a violation of law. https://unione.io/en/blog/guide-to-email-regulations

Since I reside in Germany this "Failure to comply will result in a EUR 4,000 fine per email".

It is absolutely unacceptable to receive this spam even tho I am unsubscribed.

Do something about this immediately!

Since there are a lot of topics about this issue with users complaining, which have been going on for a while, I have filed a complaint with my local data protection authority against Mozilla in this matter.
