firefox can't save files on my google drive with ubuntu 22.04
Good afternoon. I just made a clean install of Ubuntu 22.04 in my system. I use Firefox, to navigate, study and download diverse things, including work files. When I tried to download those files in my google drive, it shows me the folder which I will use, everything right, but when I hit "Save", nothing happens. Do you know which is the problem? I can access drive from "files" from Ubuntu without problem, upload and download files... Thanks in advance.

I can replicate the issue. Check for 3rd party cookies, this has been an on going issue with GD. Let play with my settings...
Changing my cookie setting from my custom setting to strict worked for me. see screenshots My drive of choice is One Drive and I don't have this issue with 3rd party cookies. I added the blocked cookies to my exceptions, but it still didn't work.

Also, turning off Enhanced Tracking Protection fixes the issue with my custom cookie settings.
Thank you for your responses... but I can´t still save anything on GD... I have to save on my HD, and then upload to GD... pretty confusing, since it was working perfectly for Ubuntu 18.xx.... I'll keep trying... Regards,

Okay... How are you attempting to save to GD without first downloading? Screenshots of what you're doing would be helpful. Are you running Google Drive app on your computer?
Hello. I`ll upload a zip file with the sequence of images from a try to download a datasheet from microchip.com. The first one shows the general file selection. Second one, the list of related files. I chose the first one Third one, the pop up to choose to open or save (save selected) Fourth one: Files window, to select where to save the file Fifth one: File window selection with [email protected] item selected, to choose where to save the file (selected My Drive). Sixth one: File window selection with [email protected]/My Drive item selected, to choose where to save the file (selected Projects). At this point, clicking on save, nor directly enter, saves the file there, or anywhere in [email protected] drive. To make it useful, I have to download to my HDD, and then upload to Drive.
I can´t upload those pictures... seems that my connection isn´t very reliable today. You can get a .zip file with all the images at
