[Help]: Need help migrating an extension to TB 78

I have a very simple extension (close-on-escape-too: https://addons.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/addon/close-on-escape-too/?src=search) that's broken in TB 78. I've read through the migration docs but have no luck getting it to work with TB 78.

Is someone willing to help me with this? Since this extension is so small and simple, I'm guessing it would take a TB guru 5 mins or less to get it working.

Full disclosures: 1) I did not write the original code. I took the original code and made it work in TB 60 by converting it to a legacy extension, which no longer work in TB 78.

2) I am a C/C++ programmer by trade. Web programming (JS, CSS, etc) are fairly new to me.

nrg

I think you'll get some advice here: https://discourse.mozilla.org/c/thunderbird/addons/255

I made an adaptation to TB 78. Apart from "Close message tabs when closing Thunderbird", everything else seems to work just fine.
