Cannot add to topsites after refreshing firefox

I hit the refresh button for Fire fox and when it reloded Fixtab topsites was gone. I tried reloading it via the add-ons but it was nowhere to be seen. However I did reload it after searching for it on the web and now I find it won't allow me to add a site to it. I have the lates firefox 36.0.1. Any ideas?

The reviews for FoxTab the last 9 months are pretty blistering: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/ad.../reviews/. But it was working for you?

The Refresh features moved your old profile (settings folder) to your desktop, inside the Old Firefox Data folder. Your old FoxTab data most likely is in there. I am not personally familiar with how this extension stores data and settings, but you might be able to rescue what you had from that folder. Just need someone more familiar with FoxTab to describe the steps.
