Hello,

Please see How to set the home page. Let us know if you need more help!

Do you get the same page when you press Ctrl+n to open a new window? In that case, home page setting seems most relevant.

If you only get it when using your desktop shortcut, a hacked shortcut is a likely culprit.

right-click your Firefox icon > Properties > Shortcut tab

For 64-bit Windows 7, the Target should be just exactly the following:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe"

If there is an address after that, go ahead and remove it.

There was an address after that and I removed it I re-started my computer and I still have the problem. My homepage comes up when I select the homepage icon but when Firefox first opens a different website opens The address for this website was the address I removed from the shortcut tab..

If you do not keep changes after a restart or otherwise have problems with preferences, see:

You can check for problems with the sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak files in the Firefox profile folder that store session data.

Rename (or delete) the sessionstore.js file and possible sessionstore-##.js files with a number and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox profile folder.

Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups and open and closed (undo) tabs to get lost and you will have to recreate them (make a note or bookmark them if possible).

When looking for user.js, sessionstore.js, and other files, if you discover that Windows is not showing the .js file extension, you may want to switch the setting that hides file extension, so you can work with file names as accurately as possible. This Microsoft support article has the steps for that: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/865219.
