Firefox problem with Hotmail
Hello,
Looking for a browser that is functioning reasonably well on my Google Nexus 7 with Android 4.2.2 installed both the latest Firefox and the beta version had te same problem:
When managing emails in Hotmail by checking boxes to move or delete them the boxes actually never get checked. So it's impossible to use Firefox with Hotmail (well, Outlook.com) and the latest Android version. So now I do the management part with Google Chrome. But using 2 browsers for one website is kinda rediculous I think...
Hope there is a solution for this problem.
Best regards,
Joop van Dijk.

Are you using the mobile site or desktop site on your mobile device? We recommend using the mobile site for optimized performance.
I'm using the mobile site. When I try to tick a checkbox it becomes black for a second and then turns white instead of checked. Trying to tick it 10 times doesn't help. Neither does zooming in and trying different areas in or around the checkbox.
Tnx!
Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache.
The Firefox cache temporarily stores images, scripts, and other parts of websites while you are browsing.
Note: This will temporarily log you out of all sites you're logged in to.
To clear cache and cookies, do the following:
- Tap the menu icon located at the top right corner. This is the icon with 3 bars. On older Android devices you'll have to press the hardware menu key and then tap More.
- Tap Settings.
- After that, you will be taken to the settings screen. In the settings screen, look under the section Privacy & Security and select Clear private data.
- You will then be taken to a list of what can be cleared. Select the following 2 for deletion:
- Cookies & active logins
- Cache
- After those have been selected, tap the Clear data button to actually clear the cache and cookies.

Thanks again for your reply, though it didn't solve the problem. Accidently though at one time I kept pushing the checkbox for about 3 seconds and suddenly it worked. I tried it a couple of times and came to the conclusion that Firefox just needs much more time to get the box checked than other browsers when using Hotmail. I double checked with Chrome and Dolpin but they need just a touch of the screen while Firefox needs a long push. Though it's okay for me now I'm sure other people will still have problems. Checking a box should just be a touch of the screen I guess. Anyway, maybe you can include it in a future version.
Thanks again for your help!
