after firefox 6 update tabs are going haywire
Since I upgraded to Firefox 6 my tabs are resizing for no reason, won't close tabs and just show new tab which won't close. I was using Tab Mix Plus and Colorful Tabs add-ons. Disabling Colorful Tabs does not solve problem. Disabled Tab Mix Plus and it seemed OK. Then installed "Tab Utilities" and the problem was ok for a while and then came back. Either of these tab add-ons are quite useful and I would like to be able to use them without all of the problems which are very disruptive.

Troubleshooting extensions and themes
Check and tell if its working.
IF an add-on is the real culprit, contact the add-on Developers and ask them about an Updated and Compatible version of your add-on.
The problem is it happens with 2 different extensions that are essentially performing the same services and I didn't have a problem in version 5. I contacted the developers and they didn't think it was a problem with their add-ons. I just don't feel like spending a lot of time right now to essentially start over and go through every add-on. Was just wondering if anyone else was having the issue.
I think it is an Overlapping issue caused by the add-ons as you yourself described in your last post. IF you don't want to go through the hassle of Disabling and Checking them one by one, then Create a New Profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.
-> Basic Troubleshooting: Make a New Profile
-> If that New Profile works then you can recover your Bookmarks and Passwords from the Old Profile.
-> Recovering important data from an old profile
Check and tell if its working.

Thanks for the tips. I do know how to troubleshoot. Mainly wanted to know if others have same problem which would indicate a bug in 6. I may just go back to 5 since I saved the profile anyway and deal with it when I have the time and inclination.
When you get some time and you decide to get back to this problem, you can use the links i mentioned in my previous posts to help you Troubleshoot the problem.
It could be that you have conflicts with two extensions that handle the same thing (tabs).
I'm not running them at the same time. Tried the Tab Utilities just to see if I would encounter same problem as with Tab Mix that I have used for years. There is apparently something that is the same or similar with both of them that triggers the problem in Firefox 6.
