more options

I tried online and through Samsung Captivate to download beta firefox mobile. Online when I click on download for android I get "Firefox doesn't know how to open this address, because the protocol (market) isn't associated with any program." When I go through scan the code and try to download from www.mozilla.com/m/beta I get the firefox page click on dl link and get "the requested item could not be found"

Some supported phones are not displaying Firefox in the Market for some reason. We're still investigating this. You can check if your phone is supported here:

https://wiki.mozilla.org/Mobile/Platforms/Android

and then download the app directly from here:

http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/mobile/releases/4.0b3/android-r7/multi/

(Note: If your phone is from AT&T, you will have to search for instructions on "sideloading" the APK file, since AT&T disables the option to install from non-Market sources.)

I know Google restricted the app store on developer phones and have been blocking certain apps from installing. Neither Shazam nor iHeartRadio for example will show up on my Cyanogen 7.0.2 phone. Maybe, Firefox was effected similarly.
