I am using Thunderbird 91.1.1.2 When I click on a PDF attachment I am unable to view it unless I save it then fire up a PDF viewer then open it. Please can someone help !

Problem solved !! Found under Account settings - Thunderbird Preferences - Files and Attachments the PDF setting was "save " instead of "open " No idea how that got changed !

What happens when you double-click the attachment? Do you get an error message or nothing simply happens?

When I click on the pdf file once or twice a new window opens up with "Enter name of file to save to " Instead of the file just opening. Thanks

Problem solved !! Found under Account settings - Thunderbird Preferences - Files and Attachments the PDF setting was "save " instead of "open " No idea how that got changed !
