When I type some text in a textbox, then select it all with CTRL+A, and start typing again, instead of deleting the selected text, it gets unselected and I start typing at the beginning of the text box, leaving the old text there. This happens on the address bar and normal text boxes (Discord messages, even on this site's Question/Details box).

Exact steps: 1. Type some text in a text box 2. CTRL+A to select all 3. Start typing without any delay 4. Observe text getting deselected, but not removed, and new text appearing in front of old text

In for example Notepad, the text gets selected and removed as expected.

Can't reproduce this issue.

Click the menu button ≡ , click Help and select Restart with Add-ons Disabled. Is the issue occurs in the safe mode?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Themes
  • do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window

Hi guys, I tested this some more (and could reproduce it by pressing CTRL+A and backspace in quick succession), but I also managed to reproduce it with other software (Notepad++). I could not reproduce it with AHK, so I guess it has something to do with my keyboard or how the OS handles it. Thanks for the help.
