Every since the auto - update (WHICH I TURNED OFF), it seems that every complex page I go to, like facebook and a couple of news sites, sections of the page are blank and FF acts as though its crashed then finally does.

I reinstalled FF.29.01 and everything works as it did. BTW, the new syncing doesn't work as well as the older version. Geez. My first attempt at syncing FF.30 after a reinstalled it trying to solve my problems, it would not SYNC my bookmarks. I had to go to another computer and re-sync before I got them back.

Seriously, I did need to spend 2 hours today doing this troubleshooting. Lesson learned -- again. Auto-UPDATE is off.

Try to set the Flash plug to click-to-play by setting the permissions for Flash to "Ask To Activate" in "Tools > Add-ons > Plugins". That way you can activate the Flash plugin when you need it via the Lego block icon on the location bar.
