Firefox is using an insane amout of memory?
Firefox, even with only Facebook open, is taking up at least 250,000-260,000k of RAM. I disabled all of my add-ons except for Adblock and Xmarks, and the only plugins running are things like flash and java. It's staying around 250,000k, even after restarting.
Its causing firefox to freeze up and run really slow, even with only like..3 tabs open. It's freezing as I type, with only this site and Facebook open. I have 4 gb of ram.

Can you locate any suspects if you check the memory usage via the about:memory page?
You can open about:xxxx pages via the location bar like you open a website.
Did you try to disable all extensions or run Firefox in Safe mode?
Try to create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.
If the new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.
