When trying to connect to the internet this mornig I mouse click as usual on my firefox and at first was getting unable to connect page but could go to links via my emals. When I mouse click on my homepage symbol I get the "gateway timeout" message on screen. If I click my Back arrow I will return to the previous page I have opened via email link. I have recently added a master slave power board to connect all my computer hardware to the power. Would this make a difference? I have rebboted the system.

Most likely, your home page's server is down. http://www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com/ will check to see if it's just you.

Thanks heaps for the quick reply. After I sent you the email the firefox home page came up, so it seems to be all fixed as this is my work computer I will see what happens tomorrow. My server is Optus Australia and if the server was down would I still be able to get emails?

Many times, if your server is completely down, you will not be able to receive emails, and senders will receive a "Message Failed" error.
