How to disable "tab badges"? For example, Yahoo! Mail's "new mail" red dot tab badge?
These are extremely obnoxious, ruin my productivity and lower my quality of life. There must be a way to disable these? (of course Yahoo! doesn't offer one because it wants to make me click the tab and see their banners).

That is outside my experience. For Yahoo Mail you could disallow notifications - that may stop it.
