Thunderbird won't download my emails except for the first one which keeps being downloaded every time I'm trying to receive emails.

Yesterday I downloaded both Windows and Mozilla updates. Since then I have been unable to retrieve emails. It tries to download them and I can see how many are there e.g. receiving 1 of 28. However, Thunderbird is only downloading the first message all the time so I am ending up with the same email many times and none of the other emails on the server. Can anyone help please - I'm not very savvy about these things! Many thanks, Ian

Go to your email providers webmail site. Log into your account there. Either delete the problem email or move it out of the Inbox. See if that unblocks the other messages.

Hello again. Just to let all know I have now resolved this. I went on to the server where the emails are kept and deleted the first email and this seemed to unblock the problem and all emails are now being received. Ian
