Like I said above. I am new to thunderbird. I made up some folders for filing my emails on the left hand side. I slid the relevant emails and filed them nicely. I notice I was getting emails in ALL MAIL as well as inbox and if I deleted or slid the email across it seemed to reappear back in the mail box. I am not supposed to delete the emails from both in box and all mail box. But all my files are empy. What am I doing wrong? Looking forward to sorting this out as I have now lost my emails. Cheers guys, Diane

You need to understand how Gmail labels work. https://support.google.com/mail/answer/82367?hl=en&ref_topic=3397500 https://support.google.com/mail/answer/77657?hl=en https://support.google.com/mail/answer/78755?hl=en&ref_topic=3397500

I slid the relevant emails and filed them nicely.

You'll need to explain that in more detail.

I can only guess that 'slid' means drag and drop? From where to where exactly?
