Been trying to download Firefox browser past two days right from Firefox's own website and the browser comes with adware name "Shopsite", only happens when I download this software, I also have Chrome and no issues with that plus I have 3 Spyware programs and my PC was clean except for this adware that comes with Firefox software. As soon as I open the Firefox browser I am directed to this adware and can't do anything until their ad plays out. Nice going Firefox.

Sorry, but you didn't get that from the official Mozilla website.

Firefox any version for Windows, Mac OSX and Linux from mozilla.org only come with well Firefox and not any extras including what you claim. The only thing that got added of sorts in last while was the OpenH264 Video Codec plugin. Firefox is sadly becoming of the the increasingly fewer things that does not get bundled with any extra crap.

Just because you see it in Firefox does not mean it comes with the Firefox download or update from mozilla.org.

It could have been added by a Extension install or update (as this can happen with extensions from out side of the addons.mozilla.org host) or by a recent software install or update for example. Or you may be infected and the tools you used has not dealt with it yet.

Some sites like download .com aka cnet is a known adware site and often times uses their own installer to add extra stuff to otherwise clean sotware.

________ Sometimes a problem with Firefox may be a result of malware installed on your computer, that you may not be aware of.

You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:

Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP if you don't already have one.
