My company uses Firefox for our Intranet. We advise our team to have multiple tabs open to use as reference material. On certain computers, the individual tab names show as the document name of the sheet. On some computers, it shows as the URL instead. We would like to find out what would consistently make it show the document name instead of the URL as that is easier to read. I don't think the version numbers are it because the computers that do work all use different version numbers, and updating those that don't work hasn't fixed the issue.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window
