How do I prevent Firefox from updating itself if it is going to disable one or more add-ons which are critical for me?
I am running Firefox 19.0.2 on Windows XP (SP3). As a part of my KASPERSKY INTERNET Security 2013 the following add-ons (all version 13.0.1.4250) are installed (a) Kaspersky URL Advisor (b) Content Blocker (c) Safe money and (d) Virtual keyboard . They were all enabled and active when the KIS was installed on 17-2-2013 but a subsequent update of Firefox has disabled them all. I want that Firefox should update itself only if all the existing add-ons are compatible with it, else the existing version should continue unchanged. How do I achieve this? What is the last version of Firefox that is compatible with these add-ons?

BUT HERE'S A BETTER WAY, "Firefox 19.0.2 on Windows XP (SP3)" user -- (or, at least, a less supercilious response).
Fearlessly, go ahead and Install the latest version of Firefox. (Ver 21.0 as of June-1-2013). Seriously ... have no fear. But then follow the 7 steps below to get you back in the saddle with capable Kaspersky.
1) Right-click your Kaspersky icon. 2) Click "Settings". 3) In the side bar on the left, click "Web Anti-Virus". 4) In the next panel, click the "Settings..." button under "Custom". 5) Put a checkmark in the "Check URLs" box (and everything else you wish to activate here). 6) Look for the "OK" button outside this panel (it's not in the panel; it's behind it) and click "OK". 7) Finally, click "Apply" (if you must) and click "OK" again.

Sorry, that isn't possible. Firefox will update regardless of the status of add-on compatibility. Kaspersky is creating that problem for their users; it is up to them to fix it.
The best advice I can offer you is to turn off automatic updates, and keep track of when Kaspersky has their Firefox add-ons ready for the latest version of Firefox. IMO, your problem is caused by Kaspersky not having their Firefox add-ons ready for the latest version of Firefox in a timely manner. Like every other security vendor out there has 18 weeks to test their product with each new version of Firefox before Mozilla releases each new version; Norton seems have "things" down pat by now, why can't Kaspersky do the same?
