Windows Live is suggesting my inability to send emails from my hotmail account is b/c Firefox needs to be optimized.
When I am in my hotmail account and want to forward or send a message, a yellow pop-up box appears that says, "Windows Live Hotmail was not able to complete this request. Microsoft may contact you about any issues you report". This has been going on since 6/16. I went to the Windows Live help section and other users are having the same problem. A Windows Live representative replied by saying, "Hotmail is currently investigating recent reports from users having trouble reading, deleting, or formatting emails when using FireFox browsers. The following workarounds may resolve the problem:
If you’re using the NoScript extension for FireFox, add the following domain as a valid domain: wlxsrs.com . If you’re using Ad Block Plus, create an exception rule for @@||wlxsrs.com^. Reload the Hotmail page after updating the rule.
We apologize for the inconvenience. This notice will be updated when the investigation is completed."
I am not using Ad Block Plus or the no script extension (to my knowledge) and I do not know how to optimize Firefox, like suggested. I did recently update Firefox, right around the time this issue came up.
Any suggestions or insight on Firefox's end? I would love to figure this out and post a solution to help other people with the same issue.
Thanks for your help!
Savor the day, Meghan
