Inability to send emails from my cox.net account using Thuderbird
settings for smtp server for cox.net account using Thunderbird server name smtp.cox.net port 465 but I have also tried 587 connection security STARTTLS no authentication method user name hklesserjr
settings are the same for account using Outlook, which does allow me to send emails

This looks like the same question I replied to. Please keep your issue to one thread. My suggestion is to use full email address, such as [email protected] (or whatever it is) and an authentication method. You might also try SSL/TLS.
