Not playing hd video on Amazon
Since your last updates I have not been able to play hd video on Amazon prime. I also can't play any videos on Peacock(6000 error code) and who knows what else I haven't come across yet. Please fix, I hate throwing away good money on poor playing videos. Thanks for your time and efforts in the matter.

Until FF fixes the problem I'll be using against my better judgement ME. So this problem is as fixed as it's going to get until Mozilla fixes the problem.

do they play on the other browsers?
Did you update to Firefox 88.0.1 ?
See "Help -> About Firefox".
Make sure you have the Widevine plugin installed and enabled.
- Options/Preferences -> General: Play DRM

Really didn't want to go to another browser but I tried it and both work under Edge. Hope the problem is resolved soon, been a long time Firefox user I'd hate to leave because of something so silly. Thanks for the suggestion at least I don't feel like I'm throwing cash totally out the window.
Try to clear cookies for this website, then try again.
Amazon does have a free video player for playing their videos, if they are Prime.
But you can try a couple of things for now. One of the things i noticed is the FF doesnt invoke GPU reliably as the other browser do.
So i suggest to tweek/toggle FF's hardware acceleration. Also, inside the graphics cards settings, I do not turn control over to the apps. In otherwords, i force the card to have control.
Another thing you can try is to disable all security / privacy settings in options. Lets see if disabling them helps.
Until FF made their last update it all ran just fine. I don't adjust my machine to work with FF, Mozilla is supposed to make their browser work with everybody else. Thanks for the efforts anyway.

Actually, while your statement rings with assurance, it is a flawed concept. It is because of this concept, that applications are able to take over the machines of people. And when the machines become corrupted, people like me are posed with the task to figure out what is the problem.
The anti-crime computer strategy that is being implemented in this country is adjusting the machine to ensure 1) apps are not taking control of it and 2) an app can run smoothly on the multi-tudes of computer configurations on the market.
So in most cases, FireFox is the symptom and not the problem. There is a new version of FF on the way next week. Lets see how it works out for you and for us. :-)
Just a note now Netflix won't play and calls for the latest update to firefox which I obviously have. So when is the next update due and what is it going to screw up?
