Why does my HTML signature loses it formatting when in body of email?

After setting up the HTML signature, when I Write new email, the spacing of telephone numbers and other lines with spaces, loses the formatting

In email set up, the spacing appears as;

Telephone: xx xx xxxx xxxx Fax: xx xx xxxx xxxx

But when Write email, it appears as;

Telephone: xx xx xxxx xxxx Fax: xx xx xxxx xxxx

After setting up the HTML signature, when I Write new email, the spacing of telephone numbers and other lines with spaces, loses the formatting In email set up, the spacing appears as; Telephone: xx xx xxxx xxxx Fax: xx xx xxxx xxxx But when Write email, it appears as; Telephone: xx xx xxxx xxxx Fax: xx xx xxxx xxxx

Maybe I'm going blind, I can't see any difference between the two lines in your post. Am I missing something here?
