when I open a new tab, it is opening in Chrome, and i want it to open in Firefox
Whenever I open a new tab, instead of another Firefox window, it opens in Chrome, I don't want to have this happen, how do I undo it?

Hi, Try the following:
Menu button > Options > Advanced > General
In System Defaults, click the button to make Firefox your default browser. Check if that worked, otherwise let us know.
Already did that, didn't fix the issue.
It's possible that Windows isn't set it use Firefox as a default program.
- Use this Setting Firefox as Default through Windows link to see if the steps listed there help.
Also unsuccessful. :-\
Do you want Chrome at all? You might as well uninstall it if you don't want to use it ;) Then just re-set the browser default.
Well, I thought of that as well - but I can't find the program in my "uninstall" window...
You can't find it?
Start > Control Panel > Programs and Features > Uninstall a Program? Google Chrome Web Browser isn't listed there? Are you running a portable version of Chrome?
Exactly, no program listed for Google Chrome Web Browser, and when I do a program search, it comes up empty. Very confusing. This isn't a major issue, just an annoyance, and a mystery (I HATE mysteries!) Thanks guys!
Hello,
In order to better assist you with your issue please provide us with a screenshot. If you need help to create a screenshot, please see How do I create a screenshot of my problem?

Thank you!
Here you go - disregard the right hand side, I'm working in 2 screens - in the left hand side, the Firefox screen is the first tab, and is behind the Chrome screen.
Hi,
I think the article below will be of help. Follow the instructions below the image.
Nope. Chrome does not offer that option, and when I add a tab, it's in Chrome. :-\
Do you see that program in the Windows Task Manager?
Are you sure that it isn't Firefox with some web page or proxy causing this issue?
Tap the Alt key or press F10 to show the Menu bar and check Help > About.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.
- Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
- Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window
